PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR PELVIC FLOOR
The Pelvis comprises of the Sacroilliac Joint (SIJ), pelvic floor muscles, hip joints and the pubic symphysis. These combined together make up your pelvic girdle and protect your urinary and reproductive organ systems. It disperses the weight of your upper body from your low back into both hips and legs. It also acts as a shock absorber when you run or jump. The Pelvis is also considered the "pelvic girdle" since it is the attachment point of the lower limbs to the trunk. As a part of your medical team, Physical therapy can provide relief from pain and limitations stemming from dysfunction of the pelvic girdle.
Here at Physis PT and rehab we can develop an individualized treatment plan and provided one-on-one treatment to improve pain.
